I've had friends bug me for years that I need to do online dating. I guess I've finally gotten to the point where I finally agree. Lol Honestly, I don't get out much anymore. The club and bar scenes aren't my thing (I don't drink), most of my friends are married, and my career keeps me busy.
Social life aside, I've had a really interesting life. I've moved around a lot. Due, in part, to my father's career in the Air Force, followed by college and grad school in different areas of the country. I moved to Ohio for my current job in 2005. So I'm not your typical North East Ohioan, even though I now consider myself to be one. I spent most of my childhood in Europe and my mother is German. I've seen many of the great places of the world and hope to see more. You get the bug after you start, so be careful what you wish for. Lol I enjoy seeing new places and am lucky enough to have a job that provides that.
I know this may sound weird but I like to work. I'm used to having a lot of balls in the air and, while it might be a bit much at times, I'd rather have too much to handle than not enough. I'm a gym rat, enjoy reading, used to be a good athlete and still like to play sports when I have the time, and like trying new things. My attitude is you never know if you'll like it unless you try it. :) Some of the things I enjoy most have come from taking a chance - like whitewater rafting.
I smile and laugh easily and tend to tilt to the optimistic side of things. I'm a big believer that you can choose whether or not you want to be happy. And while it's a choice, I have a lot to be happy for - a wonderful family (parents, three siblings, and three nieces), a great job, good friends, and a clear understanding of who I am and where I am going. There isn't a lot of noise in my life, if you know what I'm talking about, and I'm grateful for that.
