Hi! Here's what I'm all about...
-I'm an MSW (Master's of Social Work) student at Columbia. I say this first because I truly love this work, and my education is such an important part of my life, especially right now! I plan to earn a doctorate in social work in a related field in the future.
-I love to stop and smell the roses. There are so many beautiful things in life, and I love to enjoy them. I could sit on a bench and people watch; lay in the sand and watch the clouds; just walk around NYC and think. I like to pause and admire the things around me. I'm patient. I'm looking for someone who is patient too.
-But, I also enjoy excitement! I love to visit new places, try new foods, take a new perspective. I love to learn new things, try new things, meet new people. I can make plans, but I can be spontaneous too.
-I love the outdoors: Running, swimming, picking berries, walking on the sand...
-I love to enjoy the seasons- drinking hot cocoa and making snow angels; playing around in the leaves; splashing in the ocean waves; admiring the growing flowers. There's so many things to enjoy about all the beautiful seasons.
-I'm a creative person: I have a huge collection of arts and crafts supplies: markers, stickers, paint, tapestries, beads, yarn, etc... I love to create things! Recently I went with a couple friends to a ceramics place where I spent hours painting a small plate: I had SUCH a fun time, and now that plate is proudly displayed amongst a ton of other stuff I've painted and sewn and sketched :)
-I'm a writer: I've always been the go-to person to edit friends' papers! I've written creatively for years and have read my work at open mic events. I plan to write a novel someday.
-I LOVE music! Now, here's the part where most people usually say, "I love all music- except NOT country." Well, I love country music!!!! I'm a big fan! If you love country too, definitely message me. If you don't, that's ok, I like other music too. But I'd love to have someone who would enjoy country concerts with me :)
-Bars are ok, but not my usual Friday night scene. I do love wineries though: I've been to many, and wine is somewhat of a hobby of mine. Other than that, I'm not a BIG drinker, and I'm looking for someone who isn't either.
So, that's what I'm all about! Now, for who I'm looking for...
-Someone who shares my zest for life, but who can stop and smell the roses too
-Someone who also values education, and lifelong learning, as I do
-You can see I love a lot of things! I have many hobbies. You don't have to have these same hobbies, but I'm looking for someone who has a lot of loves, just like I do.
-Anyone out there a country fan??? It's ok if not, but if you are, that would be super cool :)
-Overall, someone who is patient and kind, sincere and funny; someone who shares my values and is a good person.
