I think DC is great because of it's rich cultural life. Let's enjoy it! I am a city gal, and love the arts. My humor is dry, but I also like silly people and things. I'm a fan of both high and low brow entertainment. Think PBS and TMZ. New Yorker and The Onion. Last weekend is a great example of the variety of activities I like to do. Friday I went to a photo exhibit at an Embassy and then had a great dinner at Estadio. Saturday I went to the gym, did some errands and then went to a friend's birthday party. Everyone danced, talked and laughed, including me. Sunday I met a friend for a long walk in Rock Creek Park and then cooked a fantastic dinner with enough for lunch leftovers. It was a great combination of activity, socializing and doing nothing.
I'm originally from New England, with an early childhood in Wisconsin. I’ve also lived in Europe for three years, in Spain and England. I love Europe and go there several times a year to visit family.
Do you have a passport? Great! I love to explore our world and there are many places I want to see. Do you speak a second language? I speak Spanish and enjoy learning about other cultures.
I do not own a car. I will eventually, but since I live near public transportation, I avoid the parking hunt. I get around by Metro, walking and zipcar.
I look forward to hearing from you.
