Grab bag of factoids about me:
I'm originally from California, and though I've taken on the pastier skin tone and aggressively fast walk of a New Yorker over the years, the soundtrack to my life would still heavily feature the Beach Boys.
I talk as much with my hands as I do with words. If you do, too, we will probably look like a pair of Italian old-timers in the middle of an epic sugar rush on our date, but it will sure be fun.
I'm the daughter of a new-age-y intellectual and an ex-cheerleader. This explains a lot.
I'm klutzy (consider yourself warned). On the plus side, it's nearly impossible to take yourself too seriously when you're likely to trip over an imaginary object at any second.
In spite of the aforementioned klutziness, I love to dance. Robyn's Call Your Girlfriend video made her my personal hero.
I'm happiest when my life includes a good mix of the highbrow (art, good fiction, opera, wnyc) and the lowbrow (board games, skee-ball, bowling). I think my favorite may be when the two come together in one awesome nobrow extravaganza - like when Sufjan Stevens performs his gorgeous BQE-inspired symphony against a backdrop of traffic footage punctuated by glittery hula-hooping go-go girls. Amazing.
