2012 Update: For those of you who count body type as a potential deal breaker (no shame -- I get it), I've changed my status to "Average" to reflect the nine months athletic hiatus I've had to take due to a sports injury. By today's (relatively unhealthy) American standards, I'm still on the slim side, but I'm certainly a bit softer than I was a year ago. That said, I'm cleared to resume my fitness routine and hope to be back to form in the next few months.
ME: A Renaissance Man to the core, I'm curious to a fault and fault my curiosity on two loving parents (still married after 42 years!) who taught me to explore the world and enjoy its many wonders. I’m working on my pilot's license, am an avid traveler, scuba diver, and yes, like every other person here I've jumped out of an airborne plane. Impressive? No. The kind of thing that attracts a mate? Apparently.
Originally from the midwest, I’ve been in LA for about 15 years, bathe on a regular basis, and give a swell massage. A romantic at heart, I'm acutely sensitive to the desires and needs of the woman in my life, and find immense pleasure in spoiling her with my time, energy and resources. I'm confident in both my masculinity and my musicianship and WILL write you love songs when the time is right. I clean up extremely well, but I do loves me some jeans and a tee shirt. I'm not usually creepy or disturbing, but as a gentleman I feel it's my birthright, and in fact my responsibility to be entertaining and gross from time to time. But I digress...
Most of my friends would tell you that I've got an epicurean streak, with a good meal topping my list of indulgences. I love finding new places to sample the wares, and also happen to be a whiz-bang in the kitchen. I keep a pretty comfortable and well-maintained home, but will cop to being less-than-great with a mop or dustrag. A little metro? Perhaps, but I'm also a big sports fan who enjoys both watching and playing the game -- basketball, football... dodgeball? And while we're on the subject of boyish escapism, let the record reflect that while it's becoming rather rare, I have been known to indulge in what the kids these days are calling "video games."
I've made a very successful living in the entertainment business, but am not consumed with the environment which surrounds it. I don't live to work, I work to live. That statement is about as cliche as they come, but it's true. Usually. At the end of the day, the world is a big place, and I still have a lot to learn and experience. But enough about me, let's type about...
YOU: An intelligent, adventurous female accomplice, whose sense of identity is as developed as your sense of style. Although confident and uncommonly literate, you are nurturing and unpretentious with a passion and zeal for life unmatched in the annals of Hollywood lore.
You are at ease discussing life’s deeper matters -– including, but not limited to: philosophy, the world-stage, and Bon Jovi’s Greatest Hits. Also, I'm not really looking for a June Cleaver here, but it'd be fantastic if you have at least a little domestic blood coursing through those veins. I don't EXPECT a woman to take care of me, but it's nice to know she's willing and wants to, you know? Of course, with all that said, the most important thing you can bring to any relationship is yourself. Just as you are.
US: We're nuts about each other, yet are completely comfortable and confident as individuals. Yes, we may need one another sometimes, but we're never NEEDY. We always communicate (even when its difficult). We'll cook a little, kiss a little, make a fire and play some Scrabble. Or we might just find ourselves some cardboard and start breakdancing. I mean that's what friends do, right? And the two of us are the very best of friends. It just so happens that we've also got this chemical/emotional attraction that makes it difficult to keep our hands off each other.
