I'm a person who really appreciates a great sense of humor and a sharp wit. I can be equally content hanging out with friends or painting by myself ( with some classic rock blasting in the background and yes, I'm singing along with reckless abandon. I used to sing professionally; so it's not all that horrible).
My business is fairly new and growing like crazy! I work hard and have had some amazing opportunities come my way. Love what I do and admire people who are passionate or at least happy with what they do.
I would like to say that I'm always one of the first to try a new restaurant or see the latest film; but honestly, it's more of an aspiration than a reality...maybe you could help me out here! Otherwise, I'll have to remain at the mercy of 'in-the-know" friends to keep me current.
I would not describe myself as an "outdoors" kind of woman; but I love deep-sea fishing and as irony would have it; the smallest girl reels in the biggest fish (Costa Rica---Rooster Fish 5ft)...I found the experience to be both physically challenging (I almost went overboard) and cathartic (lots of yelling at the fish to give up!). I do walk a lot (fast with weights, not stroll) I miss riding horses and I would get back into tennis if I had someonw to nudge me...it's okay to nudge me..sometimes I need that.
I'm a reformed night owl because I have to be. Every once in a while I indulge in one of those stay up till the birds are chirping kind of nights--you know, good conversation a bottle of wine, lots of laughs. Always worth the price of lost sleep!
I'm a 'live and let live" type of person. I've accomplished quite a bit and realize that life isn't always a straight line. Life is, after all, an adventure, don't you think? I'll elaborate a bit: I'm a combination of independence and ethnic; which translates to I run a business, raise my daughter, have friends I love to see; and I'm a nurturing spirit who would love the companionship of a good man.
A good man defined: You are bright, accomplished, laugh out loud, trustworthy, funny, kind, have a generous spirit towards your fellow human beings and most importantly: you are looking for someone who will let you be yourself as I am looking for someone who will let me fly when I need to and land when I'm ready.
We all have a plethora of adjectives to describe ourselves. All I can say is that I have a wide circle of diverse friends all of whom would say I'm empathetic, funny, and irreverant...and the one they calll when they really need someone to listen. (that goes for male and female friends).
You will see some of my artwork in my photos as well as some of my chocolate designs--thought you should have a sense of who I am and what I do that words won't aptly convey. Also, that photo of me in the gown was taken just a few months ago as part of a creative, collaborative project--so, no, I don't wander around in retro gowns in full hair make-up on a regular basis:) Just thought it would be fun to share.
