About Me:
I am originally from Michigan but grew up in South Florida. I love to laugh and dance. I also enjoy trying new things and exploring new places. My mood is upbeat and I like to surround myself with people who are upbeat as well. I am very much a girly girl, but also independent and a homeowner (well condo owner). I do not need a man to rescue me - I'm simply looking for my best friend/ partner-in-(legal) crime :). To those in my "inner circle", I am a true and loyal friend and know that I have a lot to offer to that one special guy.
One last thing (in case you were wondering since I never had any children of my own) I love children and they love me - sometimes toddlers will just walk up to me and start talking to me in their baby talk - :) I love it when that happens. I really look forward to being a cool "grandma" one day. I have also mentored numerous teens and I work with "at risk" youth through the part of the Prison Ministry of my church that visits the Juvenile Detention Center.
My Style:
I am in S FL so I am usually classy casual (shorts, jeans, casual dresses) but also love occasions when I can get all dressed up. I wear very little make-up on most occasions. My nails are natural, and although my hair is straight in most of these pics, it is really naturally wavy/curly. All pics on the site (except the bike shot from 08) are from Oct '10 to present. Just giving a little more insight into the real me.
What I'm looking for:
I view Match as an avenue for meeting people with whom I may not otherwise cross paths. However, I'm ultimately interested in meeting one significant person to spend time with; to laugh, travel and have fun with. Someone who, like myself, is open to the possibility of a future together (if mutually desirable). When we decide it is time, Match will be in my rear view mirror because I am not with the "serial dating" thing.
"Chemistry" is both a mental and a physical connection with another person and is usually immediate. "Compatibility" is somewhat immediate but mostly developed over time spent together in different situations. To me, both chemistry and compatibility are crucial and I want nothing less.
I would really like to meet an intelligent, educated and at least equally independent man, who is fun - young at heart. An optimist. He needs a sense of humor because life should be filled with laughter. He would L-O-V-E music because that is the ultimate "soul food". He's preferably local and close enough in age that we have shared childhood memories and experiences. I work out and take care of myself and want to meet someone who does the same. To sum it up, my ideal would be secure, educated, funny and active.
I have been receiving a number of winks and emails from people who are vastly different from what my preferences dictate. Please know that I am extremely appreciative of ALL compliments. However, while they're not absolute (except smoking preference - NO SMOKERS please cigars or otherwise), I have put a lot of thought into my preferences because at the end of the day, the heart wants what the heart wants.
