About me:
I have no tolerance for stupidity or poor work ethic.
I am late to everything, but only because I have no sense of time and I dislike watches.
I need to write everything down and am infamous for saying "please email that to me so I won't forget." (Although I believe this teaches people to be succinct in their requests.)
I am the world's worst boss, but historically have a low turnover rate.
I'm a really good friend, and I strive to see only the best in people.
I'm shy when I'm around new people, but am fearless to ask for something I want or defend something I genuinely believe.
I am obnoxious, love to say things that make people uncomfortable, say things like "I/she/they will stab you", and am constantly reminded by my mother how "those words are not very lady-like." However, I do have manners, can be let out in public, and have the ability to converse with the full spectrum of persons - from the homeless to an executive.
My honesty is both a gem and a dagger.
I am messy, hate to iron, and am incapable of keeping potted plants alive (cacti included).
I love to cook, but despise to clean up afterwards. I put wine, garlic, and salt in everything.
I love my dogs.
I love to grill at midnight and do other impractical things and at random times because it's fun.
I believe you can do anything if you try hard enough, and rules are created for those who do not make good choices...so you are allowed to break them if you do.
I love convincing people why health care reform is a good thing- beware even the die-hard republicans have been swayed.
I love good food, wine, and an intriguing conversation. Throw in a little game of chess, and well, it's a wonderful event.
Who I'm looking for:
I have a general idea of my limitations in terms of relationships, and in some instances this is not well-received. Minimal BS is ideal, a little quirkiness is required, and honesty, kindness, and intelligence is non-negotiable. Tattoos are always nice, and better taste in music than mine wouldn't hurt. It is always a plus to be passionate (not obsessive) about something.
