I am very happy at this juncture in my life, I have a great group of friends I am very close with, a large extended family which I love and a job that I find both interesting and challenging. And at this happy juncture I am also realizing that sharing it with a great girl would really be the icing on the cake. I was a little leery of signing up for this (I?ll admit, I thought at first it was only for those who aren?t social/damaged good etc)), but it seems everywhere I look I see online success stories! So after admitting to myself that these perceptions of online dating were wrong, I decided that this is a viable way to meet people I may have otherwise never had the opportunity to.
How would I be described? Some jocks would consider me a nerd, some nerds would consider me a jock. I can be very (and I mean very) competitive but the attributes in which I value most in myself are compassion and caring. I love dancing the night away until the morning light but equally enjoy night swimming or walking the high line. I love going out to eat but I can cook and grill some mean dishes. I can be serious when it is warranted but I would rather be laughing. Work hard but play harder. In short, the point I am trying to illustrate is that though these attributes can be considered contradictions, I see them as assets and I hope the right girl will too!
So who is this seemingly mythical "right girl for me"? It is someone exciting, funny, ambitious, independent, sincere, athletic and caring. Someone with a great personality who shares a love for new things, is adventurous, has a good head on their shoulders, and is looking for someone to share in what they love. A good sense of humor, an understanding of sarcasm and an ability to laugh are all high on my list of likes. Physical attractiveness is absolutely important to me but in my mind there is no one definition of beauty. I am back and forth between the city and Long Island frequently after being out of state for a few months for work. I will probably be moving west (into the city) but I have no qualms about meeting someone from either. If you're the right girl for me, I hope to meet you!
