I'm a fit, honest, intelligent fun-loving intellectual professional just moving back to Cali after a long hiatus in the Rockies. If you love the outdoors and all it has to offer (biking, hiking, running, surfing, skiing, golf, etc.) and love dogs, then we're off to a great start. Stimulating conversation and a love of wine, music, massage and modestly limited doses of hedonism are a must. I'm a very spiritual person who appreciates the beauty and wonderment of life, nature and relationships. Catching the aurora borealis recently was quite a treat, amazing and very unexpected. Glimpsing the 'green flash' in Laguna is still a major treat! I'm also very compassionate, sensitive, but outgoing person who loves animals and wildlife, nature and deep conversations. Passions include: volunteering for my special causes, friends, family, the aforementioned outside activities, and live entertainment. I've traveled quite a bit and would like to find someone who shares my interest in exploring and learning about new cultures. I've somehow managed to travel to six of seven continents over the years and feel very lucky to have had such diverse and memorable travel experiences. Returning to New Zealand several years ago after a 14 year hiatus has to rank as one of the best trips ever! I could easily hang in the South Island for a very long time. I have also been to Africa and South America many times, mostly on humanitarian 'junkets'. South Africa is an amazing dichotomy of culture and history and has come a very long way in only 18 years of independence from apartheid. Israel is a recent experience- the multi-millenial history of Jerusalem is simply mind blowing. Wow, come to think of it, I've really had a great run of it with travelling in the last several years! I have been exceedingly fortunate, but would like to experience more of the world with that special confidante... I also love trying new restaurants, frequenting old favorites and cooking for guests at home in my cool kitchen. The word 'soul-mate' comes to mind, but sounds fairly trite in this new decade. Intelligent, attractive, adventurous, funny, open-minded are good adjectives that are highly valued. Starting out as friends is very important to a long-lasting relationship. You consider yourself lucky to have had such wonderful experiences already in your life and simply would like to begin to share these moments with a life partner and a best friend.
