It takes a lot to put yourself out there on an online dating site, but here I am. You only live once!
I have a lot of goals in life and sometimes I wonder if I can achieve half of what I dream up. But that hasn't stopped me. I don't get mad often and that's something my mom taught me growing up. Her famous line was "if I don't laugh right now i'm going to cry, and who wants that"? She passed away a few years ago and it was the hardest time i've gone through. Fortunately, I have an amazing family that came together and now the bond between my dad and I is so much stronger. He's an honest man and has so much to teach me about life that I can't imagine ever losing him. He's my best friend and biggest supporter and there isn't anything that I can't tell him. My sister is 2 years older and I wouldn't be here today without her. She's been there through thick and thin and I absolutely love her!
I don't have many friends, but the ones that I do have are the best. They would give me the shirt off their backs and have helped me get over so many hurdles. We've shared a lot of drinks, tears, and laughs over the years.
Without sports I would be the grumpiest person. Pittsburgh is the greatest city for sports teams and I feel honored to cheer for the Penguins, Steelers, and even the Pirates. When it comes down to shopping or going to the bar and watching the game, you'd better be saving me a bar stool. Sometimes my sister will call me and ask me questions about penalties or flags because my brother-in-law gets fed up answering them. He tells me all the time to teach her more about sports. I guess when you grow up around boys you're more prone to being a tom boy.
I went to Slippery Rock University and majored in Biology. College was the best! But then the real world comes along four years later. I interned at the Indianapolis Zoo for 6 months and it was the best time of my life. I will never forget the experience and the friends I made there. I currently work for Pitt and am adjusting to the commute to Pittsburgh everyday and the city life. I'm not really used to that. But my job is great and being able to go back for my master's degree in the future is a big perk.
I'm looking for someone who is outgoing like myself and really enjoy's life without taking it for granted. Someone who doesn't always need the glitz and glam but can be just as happy with the little things that life has to offer. Enjoying the outdoors and sports is definitely a plus. I'm pretty open to everything so don't be shy!
