Oh hello! I am new to this, so bear with my scattered rambling of a profile please!
After eight years on the West Coast, I finally moved back East recently. I grew up between Virginia and New York, and I am thrilled to be back in the best city on earth. California is fantastic, but I feel more at home here than anywhere else. Maybe it's just the comfort of good pizza and real bagels, but I think it's the people too.
If you asked my friends about me, they would say I am outgoing, loving, and always ready for a dance off. As cliche as it is, I am a work-hard-play-hard type of girl who is almost always 10 minutes late because I am constantly trying to get one more thing done. I have no problem talking to strangers, which I would hope puts me in the running for being a perfect date to awkward office happy hours or family events.
Friends and family are extremely important to me and I feel the lines between the two are pretty blurred. In either case, I try to spend a lot of time with both, in particular sharing a great meal, either at a new restaurant or home-cooked. I went to cooking school in France but didn't become chef because I wanted to be AT the table during the meal, deep in good conversation with my friends. I love food but am not a food snob. I'm equally parts into foie gras as I am Southern barbeque and fried pickles. I did spend about 7 years in Virginia growing up, so it rubbed off on me. And yes, when drunk, I fall back into my old southern accent.
Depending on what time it is on a Friday night, you may find me on a run in the park, cooking/eating, dancing in the back of a dive bar as if it was the best night club in town, or sleeping - no shame in enjoying a night in!
