Can you believe it? I’m still single. Still looking for a human counterpart, and yes, I still have not figured out work-life balance (which brings me here...). But hey, I’m trying! I’m nowhere near perfect. Nothing you can’t handle.
I am a scientist and philosopher at heart. I love facts, intelligence, and logic. I’m told I’m quite bright. I have a few degrees. Don’t be intimidated.
I love learning and growing, arts and culture, exploring, enjoying, and protecting the planet – being active outdoors running, cycling, hiking, backpacking, playing in the dirt, kayaking, swimming, paragliding,… anything good, fast, and healthy. Concerts, playing piano, photography, ... Did I tell you how much I love life?
I grew up in Europe (Germany, France), have lived on various continents (South Africa, South America, Asia, US), and have traveled to virtually all. I guess that makes me a cosmopolitan. I’ve lived in the US since 2003 though and love it – the National Parks, the vastness of the land, the beauty of nature virtually untouched. I think I’ve learned one thing: better to join in with humanity than to set yourself apart.
I’m inspired by those who have sought brighter light and courage, though: Jesus, the Buddha, Thich Nhat Hanh, Pema Chodron, Mother Theresa, …
Living a life in touch with the divine, filled with light, love, and laughter, filled with curiosity, openness, gratitude, service, and hope is what I deeply aspire to. I have great respect and love for my family, for my friends, for nature, for those who came before us - activists, thinkers, teachers, the elderly. I enjoy meditation.

Here is the fine print: if you are into a quick date, or into entertaining multiple relationships, then this will not work for you. If you are interested in menage a trois, quatre, … you name it, then this will not work you either. If you are looking for a size 0-2, then I’m not right for you. I enjoy eating chocolate and ice cream ever so often.
But enough about me! I am looking for a fun, athletic, commitment-minded, quality person, who brings as much to the table as I do - or so much more. Someone warm and cuddly, someone crazy and goofy and down to earth. Someone whose opinioins are not set in stone. Someone to share the New York Times with on Sunday. Someone to raise our children with. Someone to grow old with.
