I like to think of myself as a mostly positive, intelligent optimist...my passions and interests in life include surfing good waves, raising my 8 year old daughter, traveling to Central America, Hawaii and other tropical locales, painting irie surf art, hanging with good friends, laughing a lot, teaching and working with children (I'm a special education teacher), gardening and watching my plants grow, riding my beach cruiser, hanging and working at my restaurant, stand up comedy and documentary shows, learning about new cultures and languages, strumming guitar, reading good books and surf magazines/journals, collecting surf memorabilia, taking cool photographs (love Instagram filters!), waxing philosopically, sleeping in, relaxing in the jacuzzi, BBQing and cooking for friends, making tropical cocktails, discovering and eating at unique little restaurants, sipping mocha lattes and peppermint/jasmine tea, practicing good karma, leaving places in a better state than when I arrived (I often pick up trash others leave behind, especially at the beach...), seeing live concerts and listening to music of all kinds, being alone with my thoughts at times (especially in the ocean while surfing), watching and going to Laker games...
I am not sure if I have a "type" that I am looking for...just anyone that has a positive vibe and gives me that "butterfly" feeling of happiness and attraction...I like women who can "rought it" and hit the beach early in the morning by throwing on a baseball cap, but can also balance this out by dressing up for a night on the town...I wear a suit and tie once a year at the most, so if formal wear is your thing, you have the wrong guy, but I do clean up well!...though I am not into the bar or club scene anymore, I like to visit the occasional dive bar or hit the dance floor when the feeling is right...I hope to find someone that has a career they love and a passion in life...someone who loves the beach, traveling and following their heart's desires...someone artistic and kind and independent...someone with a healthy lifestyle and outlook on life...no "Negative Nancies"...are you out there?
