I am looking for a partner to go on adventures with me - whether those involve a drive to a different neighbourhood, or a flight to another continent. I've have the good fortune of living in New York City and London before calling LA home - I work on the business side of film and I love it. My parents are from the Caribbean but I grew up in Canada which has made for an interesting combination of passion and politeness - think mardi gras meets afternoon tea. I love smart independent films and law and order equally; switch between NPR and Steve Harvey on my morning commute; and alternate between the New York Times and tmz at work. A perfect Sunday is sleeping in, a lingering brunch with friends, a drive up PCH or a walk in Griffith Park and then a quiet dinner at home. I'm a cosmopolitan woman with small town values - I think that kindness is highly underrated.
My ideal guy is smart, professional and passionate. He understands that relationships are about partnership and is looking for someone to complement him not to complete him. He isn't afraid to challenge me and makes me blush when I think about him.
I have learned that I would rather say yes than wish I had. The worst that can happen is that I have a funny anecdote to share with friends over a cocktail.
