Hello. Little background about myself, have lived in VA my entire life, grew up in Charlottesville, VA, went to school in Newport News VA, moved up north to Northern VA after college, am a Political Science Major who fell into the government contracting community post college and havnt really looked back since..Some call me a young mover and shaker inside the beltway facilitating business deals and writing proposals for a company that provides IT and business consulting services to Federal Govt. agencies.
Parents have been married for 30 years and am planning on following in those footsteps so am looking for a quality individual that I'm compatible w/. Don't really have any specific types per say but just need to have good chemistry which I can usually tell pretty quickly. With that said, I am independent, self sufficient and keep very busy social and work schedule and am not dying to jump into a major relationship unless I felt the right person were to come along. Most of my good friends are now married as well as my sister who is 4 years younger than me so the pressure has been turned up a notch or two, hence the reason I figured I better broaden my horizons by setting up this profile.
As for myself, with the exception of the referenced firewater below, l live my life according to the words of the late great Native American leader Tecumseh:
"live your life so the fear of death can never enter your heart. Trouble no one about their religion; respect others in their views, and demand that they respect yours. Love your life, perfect your life, beautify all things in your life. Seek to make your life long and of service to your people. Prepare a noble death song for the day when you go over the great divide. Always give a word or sign of salute when meeting or passing a stranger if in a lonely place. Show respect to all people, but grovel to none. When you arise in the morning, give thanks for the light, for your life and strength. Give thanks for your food and for the joy of living. If you see no reason for giving thanks, the fault lies in yourself. Touch not the poisonous firewater that makes wise ones turn to fools and robs them of their visions. When your time comes to die, be not like those whose hearts are filled with fear of death, so that when their time comes they weep and pray for a little more time to live their lives over again in a different way. Sing your death song, and die like a hero going home."
