I politely ask not to contact or respond to me if you don't want to meet up. I just think it's fair to use this site for its intended purpose, and anything else is misleading. Also, if you're not over your ex, uhh, really? LOL come on.
I'm C.M.; born and raised in the Bay Area, and headed home once again from LA where I've been working on a master's (almost done). I get around a lot lol. Since graduating college, I've also done 2 years of substitute teaching and 1 year in the Army.
About me: I think I'm down-to-earth, optimistic and realistic. A lot of profiles say that people are looking for someone "drama-free" or "baggage-free". Well, I think that everyone has some baggage or drama; if they didn't, then all relationships would be easy, and that sure ain't true! IMHO, too many people want the perfect romance of Hollywood, and nothing's perfect.
Hopefully, that didn't sound snobby lol. Anyway, what I'm looking for. Well, I dislike the idea of "looking for" a relationship. I guess that's because all the relationships I've been in, just, well, happened. However, everyone has preferences, and I'm no different:
1. Education: At least a bachelor's degree or working on one, preferably. I know smart people who didn't go to college, for sure, though.
2. Grammar: know the difference between "too", "two", and "to" or "they're", "their", and "there"; I hat it wen ppl typ lik dis!
3. Cultural awareness/tolerance: No racism, homophobia, etc. Like all Latinos don't come from Mexico, etc.
4. Be on the outgoing side: Of course I'll talk if it's just the two of us, but I'll never be the life of the party.
As for my hobbies, I think the rest of this profile explains that. A couple more things (just a thought): I'm equal opportunity; dating women of the same race or a different one, doesn't matter (or shouldn't matter, at least)...what matters is the individual. That said, It's not my job to explain why I'm not the "stereotypical black man". If someone is unable or unwilling to judge me as an individual, they're not worth my time.
Whew! If any woman thinks she can put up with my sarcastic and sometimes-nasty sense of humor, and my screaming (and cussing sometimes) at basketball and football games, hit me up! Later.
