First thing’s first, I’m on this site to find someone special. Sure, like everyone else I meet a lot of interesting, and attractive people every day living in Los Angeles; unlike them, I’m not going to spend my time “throwin’ game”. I’m just too busy for that kind of effort in a social setting. It’s not that I don’t want to – rather it is because if in the off chance I am not working, I am out with friends, socializing. As much as I would like to talk to you if we made eyes at one another from across the bar – I wouldn’t feel right picking you up while under the influence, and attempting to turn it into something more than the two of us drunkenly fumbling with one another’s clothes in the dark. That’s not what I’m looking for. I’m looking for something that goes beyond physical attraction, something that goes beyond us having the same taste in popular culture staples, and something that goes beyond having the same sarcastic sense of humor that our generation thinks makes each of us unique – I want someone and something real.
So here it is, the woman I’m looking for is someone with a positive self-image, a cheery outlook on life, and a stable mindset. I want to meet a woman who is secure as an individual, and doesn’t rely on a relationship to make her feel normal. I am attracted to traditional looks, values, and ethics. I hope to find the “girl next door” (because my girl next door is a lesbian – sad face). I really would like it if we had similar taste in music (indie, alternative, classic rock, anything with an acoustic guitar), food (I hate seafood), movies (80’s, Wes Anderson, anything Apatow), and television (Breaking Bad, The Newsroom, Game of Thrones, Mad Men). I like a woman who takes care of herself physically, mentally, and emotionally. I am not prejudice against any particular background, race, religion, hair color, sense of style, or anything of the sort – if you’re the one I won’t let anything stand in the way.
Okay, I saved the best for last (kidding). About me – I live in Los Angeles (duh, I know), the Miracle Mile to be exact. I love the area where I reside, but I tend to spend my weekends out and about in West LA, and West Hollywood (not boys town…). I am an editor by trade – I work with authors, helping them refine existing works, finding their tone for new ones, and improving under-developed concepts. I love what I do, and it takes up a lot of my time. However, when I do happen to find free time, I like to spend it actively doing things with those closest to me. My friends are my family in California (I am originally from Michigan), and they mean the world to me. I am loyal to a fault. I would catch a grenade for a friend, and expect the same loyalty from those closest to me. I love going out, and experiencing everything that this city has to offer, but I also love lounging at home in my pajamas while rapidly clearing out my DVR – I’m the best of both worlds (you’re going to have to trust me on that one). I’m not in peak physical condition – I won’t make excuses (work, drinking, indulging in foods I shouldn’t…ok I made them) – I’m less Brad Pitt body-wise, and more Brad Garrett. I dress well, shower twice a day, and have excellent hair (recently cut – I looked like Jesus a few weeks ago). I’m the funniest person you haven’t met, I’m well read, and I get along with everybody. All in all, I’m just your regular guy, only better ;)
