I like to laugh. I think the best gift you can give someone is to make them laugh so I try to do that every day.
To me sometimes there's nothing better than getting lost in a giant bookstore with a cup of vanilla rooibos and a copy of Candide or maybe A Midsummer Night's Dream and just lazing the day away reading.
I'm an East coast transplant. I moved to Los Angeles from Washington DC in 2006 to pursue a career in writing for television. Started out in reality TV, worked my way up to becoming a producer on various reality, elimination, and game shows. Made the switch to scripted TV this summer; currently working on a scripted drama for ABC/Disney (when I'm not moonlighting on my own spec scripts.) Writing is what I love; The beauty of it is I can do it anywhere. And I do.
Really, I'm not looking for someone to fit a bullet-point list of qualities, hobbies and quirks to meet some expectation. I work hard but it leaves little time to meet new people outside my social circle; I'm just trying to find that special someone who will appreciate me for me.
My dad always told me, "Son, there are two types of people in life: Givers and Takers. Always be a Giver; but also do your best to surround yourself with Givers." In short -- I'm a Giver looking for another Giver, just a normal guy trying to make it in the world, looking for someone to share the adventure with and who can appreciate the concept of reciprocity.
