I am a country boy scientist in the environmental field who actually likes to relax working on my farm. I don't need a gym membership, I've got a farm. I love being a good steward of the land and seeing things grow. I believe in if one trivializes their connection to the land, one is destined to forget its importance.
I played a lot of sports from Football to Lacrosse from high school to college, now I lift weights and do some cross-country skiing when there is enough snow. I love old movies in front of a roaring fire on a cold winter’s night instead of bar hopping. Been there done that and got a bunch of commemorative beer mugs for the effort. But I wouldn’t mind dressing up and going out on the town once in awhile. I have to travel to NYC, Philly, Boston, and Pittsburgh a lot, but feel at peace in the middle of mountains so you should love the outdoors and campfires. If you are well read and able to converse on many subjects we can talk until the sun comes up. I really enjoy a good conversation and it seems that it’s a vanishing skill. We should also be able to make each other have gut-busting, fluids through the nose laughter. I can’t carry a tune in bucket, but I still love just about all music. There are two kinds I don’t. I’ll let you guess which ones makes a country boy’s ears hurt.
I still believe in the Chivalric code in opening doors and treating all women like ladies, even when a few don’t deserve it. I believe in family first, middle and last. If you have kids, I want them in on the fun too because they are part of you. Well, maybe not all the time…LOL. I also will not play games because I hate them; I’ll speak my mind, tell you where the bear poops in the buckwheat, and believe that everyone can have a valid opinion. Above all, I will listen.
