My interests are diverse, and I like to think of myself as open minded. I love exploring unknown places and cities, eating out, visiting wineries, listening to live music (blues, jazz, folk, country). I love helping others, reading, cheering for the Celtics, good conversations, volleyball, hiking, being outdoors, music, snowboarding, my career (I teach), spending time with my family, laughing.I'm a country girl at heart-- but I love the dichotomy of the country and city. I enjoy dressing up for a night of museums, art, or music, but I also love throwing on a flannel and relaxing at home. When I have free time I like to visit my parents' house in the country. I love sitting on the front porch, sipping a glass of wine, watching the sun set in the company of people you care about.. it's the ultimate relaxation.
My favorite hobby is riding horses competitively. It requires a lot of time, money, and energy, but the trust and companionship established in any equine relationship is unparalleled. In many ways, it gives me a sense of completeness.
I never tire of exploring the world, and I couldn't live without my Passport--I've been to Italy and Germany in the past year, and more than 10 countries in the last several years. I just got back from Costa Rica in early April and am already plotting my next escape. I'd love to find a partner in crime who enjoys exploring our beautiful world.
In all, I'm very satisfied with where I'm at in life-- my family, my friends, my career, my passions. I work very hard to be able to do the things that I love. I'm never bored and I enjoy learning and trying new things. This is a must-have trait in a relationship.
So what am I looking for? I'm looking for a man who wants to be a man--that is, someone who is confident in who they are--who isn't afraid of hard work, adventure, and getting his hands dirty. I would like to find someone who genuinely cares about people, is active and passionate about living life, maintains a healthy lifestyle, and wants to make the best of each day. I'd like to find someone who values conversation and is honest, compassionate, and driven--yet humble. I'd like to meet someone who is passionate about his own hobbies and interests yet supports the pursuit of mine, too.
