I am an active person. I like doing something active outdoors on the weekends, but then in the evening, I like going out for a drink and live music with close friends. Either I'm going on Mnt Bike ride, road bike ride, run, hike or yoga. I am also an avid whitewater kayaker. I love to plan overnight trips to leave the city and go skiing in Tahoe, backpacking, rafting/kayaking, or mountain biking in Downieville. Of course, when the weather is bad, I go for board games, movies, and occasional museums/shows.
I spent a lot of the last 4 years doing a lot of world travel, so I have a lot of good stories to share about Indonesia, Nepal, Bhutan, and more. I do environmental work here in the Bay Area and I am happy to be close to home now, near my friends and family. I am close with my family, many of whom live in the Bay Area.
I am equally comfortable out on the trail, having a night out on the town at a nice restaurant and theater, or hanging out having an intelligent conversation and laughing about ridiculous things.
I am looking for someone who loves the outdoors, and appreciates good food and music. A good sense of humor is important, and I love it when a guy can cook! I also like it when a guy takes the initiative to plan events/outings, because I always like trying new things.
In a relationship, I am looking for a play buddy to be active outdoors and/or someone to share a good meal and entertainment with. I am not necessarily looking for someone just like me, but someone who has an active lifestyle and can appreciate a good conversation. I am finding more and more that a good conversation is worth more than someone who does the same activities as me.
