I've lived in Jacksonville, Atlanta, Cincinnati, Minneapolis, Cleveland, Mexico and Peru and just relocated back to Jax for the first time since I was 10 for my new teaching job. With my family 2000 miles away in Minneapolis and my friends all over the place, I am looking to meet new people and explore Jax since I am quickly discovering that my childhood favorite areas, such as the Landing and my beloved Regency mall, have become ghost towns with crime rates that rival the rougher parts of Somalia.
I teach high school English....aka instruct impressionable fifteen year olds on literary terms via the lyrics of Lil Wayne and Miley Cyrus. If I have time, maybe we'll get to some Shakespeare too (it's about priorities). Working with teenagers (especially ones who think they're bad) is my passion and every day is a good day because I absolutely love what I do.
Traveling, at-risk teenagers, God, running, the RAM and theme parties top my list of favorites. People describe me as friendly, upbeat, driven and clumsy. I like people who can make me laugh and are ambitious.
Note: If you have any semblance of positive feelings towards the band "Nickelback" it is probably best we never speak.
