I grew up in the Midwest (Nebraska). I believe in opening doors and catering to the one I'm with. I don't believe the grass is greener on the other side. The last time I was home visiting my parents my Dad (now 80) walked into the kitchen and gave my Mom (his wife of 60 years) a hug and kiss first thing in the morning.
