An ideal Saturday morning for me is waking up and going to the farmer’s market, getting a coffee and pastry and buying fresh, local fare. Something I loved about living abroad is the way people come together, the lively streets, the sense of a local community. Somehow the market evokes this nostalgia in me. Also, who doesn't love the beautiful surroundings and tasty goods we are so lucky to have in this area? I love spending an urban afternoon downtown going to SFMOMA just as much as heading up to more rustic parts like Point Reyes or Sonoma. I’d love to head out to the countryside to go pick apples or head up north to hike Mt. Tam or grab oysters at the Hog Island farm. I love walking into a museum and seeing what piece grabs my attention first and then trying to figure out why. Similarly, bookstores are also a sort of museum for me -- I love book titles and covers and thinking about why we are drawn to certain things. Though I’ve been known to have a zest for intellectual and academic pursuits, I equally enjoy simple pleasures such as cheering for the Giants over a beer and garlic fries at the ballpark. I am an intuitive, introspective person -- at times self-assured and bold and at other times private and somewhat reserved. I value meaningful relationships in which people can fully be who they are and reveal the quirks that make us interesting. I deeply value my relationships with family and friends. I am passionate about the work I do though realize that maintaining work-life balance is key. I believe travel is an incredible form of self-discovery and have been fortunate to have the chance to spend time living abroad in Ecuador, Spain, and China, with some incredible traveling in between.
I’m looking for a partner who values honesty and kindness, who shares a sense of curiosity, and a desire to travel and see new places and ways of life. I enjoy staying active whether it be a Saturday morning spin class, a hike in the North Bay, or a weekend trip to the mountains, and would love to meet someone with a similar sense of adventure. Creativity is important, romance essential, and a desire to find new corners of one's heart and mind a must!
