As the esteemed warrior-poet Rocky Balboa once said regarding Adrienne: “She got gaps, I got gaps. Together we fill gaps.” Essentially, I’m looking to fill the gaps with someone.
I prefer the Rolling Stones to the Beatles, Keith Richards to Mick Jagger, and Kierkegaard to Adorno.
In my free time I've either got a book in my hands or a guitar. Or a pen. Cause I write a lot. Longhand still.
I had a band but it's no more (amongst members there were geographical and commitment issues... sounds like a relationship hah). Now I'm focusing on my writing. I'm getting two articles of criticism published in a print journal. A number of other projects going on right now too.
I'm also a fan of coming up with ridiculous but HIGHLY probable pop culture theories. Examples:
-Shakespeare invented the concept of a "bromance" - Hamlet and Horatio were total bros!
-The 1980's cartoon DuckTales was a covert Republican cartoon show. (Stealing Scrooge McDuck's lucky dime always seemed like some sort of zealous anti-taxation message to me...)
-Nutella makes ALMOST everything better. I've tried it on almost every food substance and it improves the baseline food no matter what. Except for pizza. It's really icky on pizza.
-This isn't quite a theory but I always wonder about the guys on this site that Match says I'm "similar" to. Hypothetically if those dudes and I got together to shoot the breeze would we get along or would we be like mortal enemies because we were so similar? I'm really perplexed by this one; its got my mind in pretzels.
Oh yeah - the thing in the headline about Carmen Sandiego? It's true. I was on the show in 7th grade and won. True story.
