I grew up in a small town in Tennessee, moved to a few different cities for school, and then landed in Atlanta about 3 years ago. I love everything the city has to offer and take advantage of it as often as possible. I won’t list all of the regular things that everyone enjoys like music, good food, and hanging out with friends. I’d rather tell you what I think makes me unique.
A few of the activities that I participate in regularly include boot camp and/or running, a monthly book club with friends, bocce league, and volunteering at the Atlanta Community Food Bank. I mention reading and travel below, so I won’t dwell on that here. I have very diverse interests and am always open for trying something new. Depending on the day, I can be a little hippie, a little hipster, or a little preppy. I’m looking for someone who is equally comfortable with the symphony, Metalsome, fancy dinners, dive bars, drinking on a tropical beach vacation, and living in a hut in Tanzania.
I like to cook and try to make at least two new dishes every month (one of my New Year’s resolutions), although they don’t always turn out well. But that’s part of the fun! And I always have a frozen pizza on hand for total disasters. I usually have at least one or two crafty projects half-finished. I wish I had a garden but apartment living prevents that for the most part.
I’m not impressed by money or cars. I don’t care what you do, as long as you’re happy and you can pay your own bills. I think tattoos are incredibly attractive as long as they represent something meaningful and not just your passing obsession with iguanas. I have two myself and will probably get more before I’m through.
Good grammar is a turn-on. When I go on vacation, I turn my cell phone off and leave my computer at home. The point of a vacation is to get away, right? I take Marta to work every day. I'm the type of girl who paints her face and wears a jersey to a sporting event, rather than the type of girl who buys a new sundress for the tailgate.
Hopefully that’s enough to get you interested. We’ll save the rest for a date!
