I was going to just copy and paste my resume into this portion, but I figured I should probably make it a little more personal. I've always found it hard to describe myself without it sounding like a job interview. I am a pretty straightforward kind of guy. I'm easy to entertain, I can't stand unnecessary drama and I'm very honest and loyal. My friends would say that I'm funny, intelligent and honest ... then they would make fun of me for asking them to describe my personality. I would rather have a barbecue with friends or catch a Dodger game than go out clubbing. I like to play golf (not that I'm very good, but it gives me that high-class feeling for at least a few hours). I grew up in Colorado, so I am no stranger to the outdoors, but I'm not the kind of person who is constantly seeking some outrageous adventure like naked rock climbing or hang gliding over a volcano. It's not really my bag. I prefer my outdoor activities on the ski slope, the golf course or anywhere else a little less death-defying. I am also no stranger to laying low at home and cooking dinner, watching TV or a movie. I think TiVo is probably the greatest invention ever, with the iPod and satellite radio close behind. I am doing well in my career but I still have more goals I want to accomplish. I'm an editor at a national magazine and I love what I do, but it doesn't run my life. I enjoy music, both playing and listening. I've been playing the bass guitar for a while now, and it's become my favorite way to unwind or kill time on a boring day. I have no illusions of becoming a rock star, but it's just a great creative outlet. I want to find someone to start a real and meaningful relationship with, but I also want to take things at their natural pace when I do find someone. Like everyone else here, I'm here to find someone special. I want to find someone who can be my friend, with whom I can dress up and go out, and also stay casual with and make fun of stupid TV shows. I want to find someone who enjoys life. Someone who will take care of business, but who leaves plenty of time for fun. I'm a big music and movie fan, so that is always a plus. I hope to find a woman who can laugh at my jokes (even the unfunny ones) and who can turn around and make me laugh with a joke or dose of sarcasm of her own. I want to find someone to start a new life with, while not forgetting about the lives each of us had before the new one. Don't be afraid to laugh, because no matter how hard things can get sometimes, life is too short not to enjoy yourself. I believe in honesty, loyalty and laughter in a relationship. I don't want either person to hide something or change an opinion or story to cater to what they think the other person wants to hear. I've seen too many relationships hurt over that kind of thing.
