I was born in the frozen tundras of Canada but moved to the States when I was young. After college, I spent a winter skiing out west, moved to NYC, and then headed off to Africa for a couple of years. I came to DC for grad school, and I'm happy here so I decided to stay. Now I have a job that allows me to live here but travel a good deal back to Africa, which I'm happy about.
