I believe no one has a clue what they're looking for until they actually find it. For example, say you know for a fact you want gold and nothing else, but then you see a diamond for the first time. Turns out it was the diamond you wanted all along, you just didn't know at the time.
I don't currently have a checklist of generic qualities I'm looking for, so if you're curious simply ask. Fortune favors the bold.
