I was born in the midwest but I'm definitely not a small town girl! My passion is in travel and I've made the most of the past few years. I started a summer camp in Chicago, then went on to volunteer for an HIV/AIDS NGO in India for six months traveling and working. After India was London, continuing my work with non-profits. Then came Italy for a year, studying and working in the advertising world, doing translations. All of that led me to NYC at the beginning of September, where I live in the village and am currently a PA to two interior designers and interning with an Italian ad agency here in New York. I love the crazy life I've led so far and am really looking forward to what comes next.
I love adventure, spontaneity, trying new things, finding new places and making new friends. In my free time you can find me searching travel blogs and sites for flights and hotels, I'm always planning my next trip.
I'm the oldest of five kids (with three brothers- so if you like football, we'll probably get along as I can easily waste 4-8 hours on a Sunday watching a game). I love to laugh, sometimes at my own jokes. I'm a little nerdy, I love to read actual books (although my iPad obsession is taking over), I'm a foodie and I (occasionally) like to exercise. I'm happiest when I have music playing and I'm with people I care about.
I am the WORST texter/emailer in the world- I have a job that is important to me and a lot of times I am too busy during the day to keep up a conversation. Also I lose things constantly, I have replaced my phone four times in the past six months. It's not surprising to anyone that knows me when I go off the radar for days at a time. I once boarded a flight with two shoes and somehow arrived with only one. Things like that happens to me all the time.
I'm looking for someone who is equally independent, has a sense of humor and a willingness to step out of their comfort zone. If you can be a little goofy, have good manners and the common sense to at least pretend you have a close relationship with your mom - we'll get along great.
