Okay, so after taking 2012 off, I thought I would give this medium another go. Life is short and life is good right now. I am at a point in my life where I am open to all possibilities and it would be great to have a companion to enjoy the ride with. I would just like someone who appreciates simplicity and being real, but also cracking up until tears roll down our cheeks (what is this salty discharge?).
That being said, I do like affection, intelligence, wit, and depth. I enjoy sharing great foods of all types, NFL football (Raiders), the Red Sox! (Love the Giants' ball park though), Illy or Blue Bottle coffee and being near the water! That being said, you aren't required to like sports and I don't sit around watching them on TV just because they are sports...I need to like one of the teams usually to watch it on TV. I just assume spend my time somewhere with you instead.
I have friends with all types of backgrounds and cultures so you'd have to respect that and hopefully have the same in your life. I would like a woman who knows how to savor experiences and appreciates someone who can do the same. I am from New England originally, lived in Phoenix, AZ and most recently the Raleigh NC area (moved tot he Bay in 2005). I am looking for an intelligent, self aware, funny, honest, humble, passionate woman with a positive outlook and a backbone (Too many qualities there? )
Hopefully you would be affectionate, grounded, and have an infectious smile. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE be positive and not full of negativity and drama. I'm not looking for a saint or someone who has no faults/quirks (those make us unique), but life is challenging enough without being around toxic people, right?
Being an introvert myself (for you extroverts, please educate yourself - this does NOT mean "shy", trust me =) ), I have found it comforting to be around others who understand it and can appreciate the intimacy of comfortable silence sometimes.
Lastly, I rescued my Dutch Shepherd pup Theo in March 2012 and he is in my life for the long haul so you must like dogs. It would be awesome if you had your own also, but that is only gravy and not a requirement. For the record...he LOVES women...it can be embarrassing sometimes how much.
Looking forward to hearing from you in 2013...
