I believe in order to know want you want in life, you have to know yourself. So, a little about me. . . I'm active, independent, fun, positive, outgoing, healthy, fit, confident, reasonably athletic and am always looking for my next physical challenge. But, I also love to go out and have a great meal and drinks with friends or just someone special. I love to run (but, I bet you knew that already from my profile name), dance, hike, bike and snowshoe. I love to watch sports, go to Avs or Nuggets games or just hang at home with a great bottle of wine and a movie. Let's face it, I can have fun anywhere if I'm with the right person.
Who is my "right person"? I would describe my type as "clean cut with an edge". I like a man who is clean cut, but not geeky; edgy, but not scary. Someone who's very confident, intelligent, secure in who he is and who he is not, funny, outgoing, who can cut loose and have a great time. Someone who is fit and cares about his appearance. I like someone who doesn't take himself too seriously and can laugh at himself, me and others. Someone who is strong in mind, body and character. Authenticity and honesty are important and someone who knows what he wants in life. And, if he can dance and smells good, even better! I'm not interested in smokers, please.
If you're scratching your head wondering whether you fit the bill, here's a couple hints . . . If your profile pic is a shadow figure or any of your pictures contain shirtless photos of yourself taken in a truck stop bathroom mirror. . . you can stop reading now. . . I know the right girl is out there for you, but it isn't me.
I'm not looking for a random hook-up, instant husband, baby-daddy or candy-coated misery. I am looking for someone who shares my interests and wants to spend time with me doing some of the things I enjoy, introduce me to some of things he enjoys and find common ground between the two. Someone who wants to include me in his life, and wants to be involved in mine, but is also secure enough to give us both time and space to pursue our own interests. I want someone who understands that I have a career and sometimes I may not be available because of it. Someone who understands that my children are my top priority and sometimes I may not be available because I am with them.
Sense of humor trumps all for me. If a man can make me laugh, it will warm my heart. Looks fade, but sense of humor remains for a lifetime.
I want someone who looks at me as if I'm an ice cream cone on a hot summer's day. Someone who, when our eyes meet, I see a warmth and a glimmer that is just for me. Someone who I can treat like he's my hero, that I can brag about to my girlfriends. Call it passion or chemistry, but someone who makes my heart beat fast when I think of him. Someone who thinks I'm special for no reason at all, tells his friends about me, laughs with me, listens and is interested in my opinions and who cares that I make it home safely at night. Someone I can't wait to see and spend time with, doing anything or nothing at all.
Overall, I have a really good life and am happy with what I have accomplished both personally and professionally. I would like to find someone to share it and allow me to share his, someone who wants to live a passionate life, a true partner and a friend.
