I am originally from Lima, Peru and came many years ago for graduate medical training (done with that a while ago). I have a very close, supportive and loud family...but always with good intentions! Something like "My Big Fat Greek Wedding"
I like to go to the movies, listen to music, go to museums, plays and opera. I can do any film gender but horror. My taste for music is varied including rock, pop, classical, alternative, latin, middle eastern, etc. Don't like country.
Like to go to restaurants but I also like to make dinner at home. You are golden if you know how to make a salad and boil water without melting the pot; I can take care of the rest :) Yes, it is possible to melt the pot :) If I could turn back time I would have probably been a chef intead of being an MD. I love my job, but cooking is so much more fun. When I was a resident I made the Christmas turkey twice. Learning how to make a turkey was a big adventure as a good friend of mine told my co-residents that "I would be happy to make it for Christmas". I had no idea of how to make one so we had to call family in Peru for help. Little did I know that it was much more than covering it with pepper and putting it in the oven :) Now it can be a 2-3 day thing :)
Like to travel. I am OK with the beach but I will be happier if the place also has history, architecture or art.
I need to admire the woman in my life. She has to be decent at her job / career and educated for two reasons. First, I want you to share your day with me. Second reason is that as some day we will all wrinkle and beauty will fade, I want to be able to have fun just by talking.
To help me start a conversation it is always useful if your profile says something about you, what you like or what you do. Believe it or not I can not read your mind and lines in your profile like "good times, good food, relax, traveling, family oriented, zest for life or connected with life" don't help as WE ALL like that or feel that way. The exception are hermits and dead people but usually those don't use Match.com :)
