I'm gonna go ahead and admit that I have zero idea what to write here and wish I could come up with something witty and unique but am counting on the fact that you won't be judging me based on this box alone. I would rather you message me directly and start a dialogue, but....since I have to give you something, here we go.....
I just moved to SF this past fall after three great years in New York. I loved living there and have the best memories but was ready for a change - so here I am! I moved here not knowing that many people in the SF area but think that's kind of the fun part. I'm originally from Southern California but went to college in Philadelphia and have always had an itch to head back West (...I'm not great with cold weather).
I am someone who is extroverted and social and can make friends in a room filled with complete strangers. I'd always rather be laughing than doing whatever it is I'm doing. I have an insatiable curiosity. I'm a big believer in being the same person no matter who may be around. I'm also a huge fan of napping and genuinely believe the US should adopt Spain's siesta mentality ASAP
My ideal night is a having a dinner party with friends, good food, wine, and conversation. That sounds pretty generic so I will add that I love it when those kinds of evenings become game nights.. because it's more fun to take over the world (Risk) when you are surrounded by friends and food (other favorite games include Murder Mystery, Salad Bowl, Scrabble, Jenga, Chess, Connect Four....). And yes, if you're on my team it means you will be victorious.
I am looking for someone who is motivated to do great things in life, whatever their definition of that might be. I get inspired by those around me and love it when I can learn something new from someone. I'd like to think that I can offer you the same in return. I left a very corporate job in NY to join a tech startup (also in NY) that was trying to disrupt/change an industry. When I came to SF I joined a new company to further that goal and am lucky to be part of an amazing team doing something exciting that I am passionate about.
Full disclosure: winking makes me uncomfortable, as do messages that are generic and sound like they are just copied/pasted from previous emails. I'm also not a big fan of the IM function on this website and if thats a deal breaker for you then I'm glad we figured that out now!
