After college I was a touring musician (bass guitar) for a few years and then quit the performance side of the industry to pursue the business side. I attended law school at the University of Miami and now work as an attorney in downtown Fort Lauderdale primarily working with entertainment and intellectual property clients. What I mean by that is, I feel the need to disassociate myself with the rest of the lawyer community who like to fight and yell all the time as I am not like that and they ruin my street cred.
Socially, I am very active and outgoing and go to a lot of concerts and other "creative" things. A lot of people think I am a hipster. I think I just know how to dress myself and have better taste in music than most others. When I stay in, I like to work out and especially cook. I think staying in shape and eating healthy is really important and anyone I end up with will feel the same. I have a very sharp and sarcastic sense of humor so I am looking for someone who doesn't take things very seriously, is quick witted, and has some bite. Likewise, I am looking for someone who is as career oriented and ambitious as I am, but at the same time knows how to balance their life with free time.
I feel this whole online dating thing is really unnatural as you never know about someone until you meet them. I am more of a, hey let's get a drink or two at a bar kind of person than to write novels. I'm much better in person. I'm guessing you are too.
