I've just moved to California after 7 years in Dallas, Texas. I work for a Fortune 500 company as a marketing engineer and I travel occasionally domestically and internationally but my schedule is mostly my own. I could work from anywhere in the US but chose California because my family (brother and mom) lives here. And I like the vibe in SoCal.
I like to travel for fun, when I lived in the Dallas it was convenient to go to Mexico or the Caribbean to the beach in the summer or Colorado in the winter to snowboard. Road trips are fun with the right company, it's the journey not the destination. My brother and I drive the PCH occasionally to San Francisco, I would like to go beyond to Seattle someday soon. I like most any type of music, depends on my mood. I learned to Salsa in Dallas, but am out of practice without a partner to dance with.
What do I want? A companion and partner. Someone with their own life who is willing to share it with me. Someone who understands balance and that life is a give and take. Must like to travel and experience new things but not obsessively. Paris is nice to visit, I'd like to go again but there are parts of our city that are equally exciting to explore. Someone who's active, I like hiking, camping, snowboarding, but within reason, let's also enjoy the home we work so hard to build. Let's dress up and eat at a 5 star restaurant, occasionally. Let's eat at a fastfood restaurant or a diner at 2 am after a nightout at the Roxbury :-)
What don't I like? Drama. You don't like something, fix it or move on. No obsessive personalities. Find the balance in work, politics, working out, religion, music, ethnicity, collecting, TV watching, sports, etc. No close minded people. Ask questions, think for yourself, make up your own mind but be open to new ideas.
