I am independent, creative, passionate and engaged with life. I have a passion for and dedication to personal progress-I believe that a life well lived is one in which I have continually striven to be just a little more engaged every day, a little more present to the moment, a little more able to love others well and impact their lives in a positive way. I love to learn something new and enjoy being challenged with new ways of thinking and of being. I am inspired by people who live life in the present moment and strive to be open to all that life has to offer.
Now with all of that philosophical seriousness out there let me fill in the random silliness gap a little: I love watching Finding Nemo when I get sick—it instantly makes me feel better. I am in love with Firefly, Serenity and Doctor Who. I realize that that seems to put me into the category of people who like sci-fi, but I like to think of them as isolated and entirely unrelated events…I am more comfortable with that idea. The movie Waiting for Guffman makes me laugh…a lot. When I was a kid I wanted to grow up and be a mermaid. Seriously. Not a doctor or a veterinarian or ballerina-a mermaid. I read the Twilight series. All four of them. Don’t judge, it is not nice ;).
Now on to the kind of person I am looking to find...I am looking for someone who has the guts to live life to the fullest, to pursue what they are passionate about and who is not afraid of who they are. I want to be able to bring new and challenging ideas, activities, thoughts and love to someone's life and I want them to do the same for me. I want someone who has a quick wit, that perfect balance of strength and softness, one who has a tenacious appetite for learning and someone who is open to all of the brilliant experiences that life has to offer.
