Let me start off by saying that this is my first experience with online dating. I have decided to try it out since alot of my friends are using it and finding success. I am tired of the typical "bar" connections that I tend to make. SInce I work very hard, happy hour is sometimes the only time I have to meet new people. So here I am.....
I like to think that I'm very simple. I enjoy spending time with anyone that is fun and energetic! I have a lot of energy so it's safe to say that I don't mesh well with guys that are lethargic and quiet. I'm pretty easy going and I LOVE to laugh. I promise I will make you laugh too. My sense of humor is dry and witty but definitely entertaining.
I do take my career very seriously. I am extremely hard working and motivated to be as successful as I possibly can. I enjoy earning money so that I can buy the things that I want. I definitely classify myself as the ANTI-gold digger. I am looking for a guy that also works hard for his money. He also needs to know how to manage it responsibly. This means paying his bills, supporting his home, affording his fun, and saving anything left over.
I love to do things outdoors and I am great at sports. I absolutely love NYC (specifically the Brooklyn/SOHO area) and would live there if I could. I enjoy exploring new places/things and finding adventures along the way. I'd say that I'm not a typical "girly-girl". I don't get my nails and hair done weekly. For me, I'd much rather save my money for a long term investment (like a snowboarding trip to Colorado) rather than spend it on a temporary beauty boost.
I am very creative in many aspects of my life. For instance, I love building things, lol. Yes, I know, that's kinda weird for a girl to say, but I like being crafty. Actually, I built my own dining room table, all by myself (theres a picture of it in my profile). I also painted my entire condo on my own as well (And I have several cathedral ceilings so I like to think it was a large accomplishment for me.) There isn't much that I can't do when it comes to living independently. I've always been the type of person that wants to know how to do something rather than to have it done for me. If you can't support yourself, how can you support a family?
My family and friends are extremely important to me. My 3 best friends have been my friends since 3rd grade. And my family is incrediblly close and amazing. I hope to find a guy that can someday enjoy them all as much as I do :)
So, what exactly am I looking for in a guy???? Well in order to clarify that, I think it would be best for me to write it out in a list. Therefore, I would like to find a guy that:
- Enjoys life and all that it has to offer
- Keeps his living spaces clean. I am not interested in meeting any hoarders (I've seen enough AE Hoarders episodes)
- Has a great sense of humor and can make me laugh...Often
- Is hard working and motivated to succeed in whatever line of work he pursues
- Is respectful and mature (but can be goofy when it's appropriate)
- Loves to learn new things.
- Is adventurous but not dangerous
- Will not lie and will be honest in EVERY facet of the relationship...even if the truth is horrendous.
- Can handle an independent woman....that is looking for a life long partner :)
