My formal Op-Ed piece! LOL
Online personals are funny; there are so many perfect people online. I never thought I could find tons of perfect people online, if I knew this, I'd just quit meeting people in person.
I might be a great catch; however who doesn?t think that about themselves according to these match profiles! However, friendship comes first! Why? Well, nothing can last, grow nor mature without their being a friendship first and foremost.
Passion is a major component in a friendship or relationship, opposites do attract, but not really! You really do need to be feeling the vibe, interests and passionate interest of someone because clich?s do not always work in the real world!
Forget the future, the present moment rocks! How about eating a cheap burrito off the taco truck? Hanging out in SF with no real agenda? Jumping into the car heading down Highway 1 not really being concerned with where we end up for a change? Going out to dinner and having fun even if the food aint much to write home about?
Can you really kick it? Hiking in Marin? Weekend trip to Vegas and it?s okay if you cannot dance because the last time I checked, I was not invited to be on Dancing With The Stars either, so let?s do it! LOL
Heck, who wants to be bored even if you are Ms. Right, dig it? Heck, let?s go dancing sometimes then I?ll tell you about the hoes in my socks sometimes! LOL
Back to my Op-Ed piece, mutual shared passions just gives you that ?Best friend? that is always there for you no matter what happens. I think every successful person in history needed an environment that supported their growth.
Oh, we are each other?s sociologist, psychologist nor therapist, if something is wrong with you, don?t be cheap, hire a therapist, I?m not looking for that type of role! Relationships are not about being a social worker 24/7! LOL same goes for me too!
Plus, when you reach your 40s, I just think you get tired of meeting flaky, immature and lost people that want you to be incredible so they can hide their lackluster selves! :)
No self imposed prophecies of self destruction, doom and gloom and all that man hater or life hater stuff?if someone did you wrong, Get over it! Life is just too short!
My list is short, brief and I do believe in the old adage: "You attract the kind of person to you by the type of person you become". No one makes you whole, but your incredible past, present and future efforts!
Oh, women do want a guy that listens! Here?s my thoughts, does any guy really listens? Well, that?s why God created girlfriends, right! LOL
