Thanks for checking me out! This is my first foray into online dating. I thought I’d give it a whirl since I’m fairly new to the City (Feb. 2012) and would like to meet someone special.
I grew up in Ontario, Canada (but born in the US) and Cincinnati, OH. I’m the oldest of 4 (2 brothers, 1 sister) and have 2 sets of wonderful parents (Dad and Stepmom live in Cincy and Mom and Stepdad live on Hilton Head Island, SC). I’ve been skiing since I was 4 and playing ice hockey since I was 5. I moved out to Newport Beach a little over 12 years ago, then up to SF for a job last year. I love the outdoors – beach, ocean, lakes, rivers, and mountains. Some of my favorite family vacations growing up were to dude ranches in Wyoming, Montana, Colorado and Arizona – where horseback riding was the focus, but we also went rafting, hiking, mountain biking, and rode ATV’s (I actually got struck by lightning on my 16th birthday during a hike on one of these trips!) I also love still going to the white sand beaches of Siesta Key, Sarasota, FL.
My family, friends and I would describe me as smart, genuine, charming, funny, out-going, loyal, and positive. I’m also a sports fanatic – I love watching football (Cincinnati Bengals and Ohio State Buckeyes), hockey (LA Kings), baseball (Cincinnati Reds) and golf (boring to some, but it’s great to nap to on the weekends). Naturally, I’ll root for the SF teams IF they aren’t playing any of my teams. I love great food and wine (who doesn’t?) and am equally content going out on the town or staying in. While I don't claim to be a great cook, I think cooking (while drinking wine) together is a great way to spend time. Oh, and I like to dance.
Who I’m looking for:
She’s confident in herself and with me – no jealousy or drama please. She's laid back and can handle herself in any situation and around all different types of people. She’s well-educated, passionate, witty (with the right amount of sarcasm), spontaneous, adventurous, genuine, loyal, positive, has a good relationship with her family AND gives me head rubs (they’re my fave and I’ll reciprocate if you don’t mind your hair getting messed up).
