Ok… I joined this site over a year ago when I moved back to Midland after living in College Station and Houston for over 10 years. I honestly have never really put that much time and effort into it, probably because it makes me feel a little defeated using a dating site. Really and truly I believe that good relationships grow out of friendship. I’m not interested in jumping into a romantic relationship. I am interested in meeting someone who would like to spend time getting to know me (I am a little shy at first) and see where that goes.
If you asked people who know me best, I think they would tell you that I am a fun and caring person with a good sense of humor. I love to laugh and have a good time. I am very devoted to those that I care about most and I love doing things that make other people happy.
I graduated with a degree in Interdisciplinary Studies from Texas A & M in 2005. I have worked as a photographer, and an analyst for an oil and gas service company. I currently work for my family’s small manufacturing company where I do a little bit of everything from management duties to quality control.
I am in the process of buying my first house which I’m very excited about. I can’t wait to do some remodeling and decorating and plant a small vegetable garden. I’m sure that sounds kind of dorky, but it’s true. I love to cook and try to be conscious about using organic and natural ingredients and having a garden of my own will make that a lot easier. We’ll see how it goes… I’ve never been known for having a green thumb, but I’m going to give it a try.
I’m interested in Photography and love to take pictures. I also love music and am kind of a music snob. My favorite genres are probably Indie/Alternative Rock and Folk/Folk Rock. Some of my favorite bands are The Talking Heads, Arcade Fire, The Shins, Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros, Cold War Kids, Indigo Girls, My Morning Jacket… That’s just a few.
I like art and tend to be drawn to abstract and impressionist...I love watching movies of most genres except for Horror. In the past few years I’ve really gotten into classic movies. A Philadelphia Story is one of my very favorites. Great actors, fun story, and all around a really great movie.
I like camping and traveling in general, and would like to do more of both.
This is obviously just a synopsis, so if there is something you’d like to know just drop me a line and ask.
