I have been living in NYC for 14 years and, while I definitely love a lot of things about it, I also look forward to traveling to other places, both near and far. While I enjoy museums, great restaurants and exploring different neighborhoods, I also crave the outdoors and nature. I grew up in a tiny little town in upstate New York and look forward to going back a few times a year to visit family and to put things in perspective. My job affords me the opportunity to travel during the summers so I make a point of going up to Maine every summer for at least two weeks to frequent farmers' markets, antique shows, stuff myself with lobster, hang with my family, read countless books on the rocks while watching the ocean, and to just RELAX! I am also currently planning a trip to Southern France for this summer, which I'm really excited about!
I am a hardworking, family oriented, passionate person who, despite living in NYC for all of these years, has still managed to keep my small town girl persona-and I'm very proud of that!
My perfect match is someone has TONS OF INTEGRITY and a great sense of humor. I want someone who loves staying at home watching a movie and cooking dinner as much as going out for a nice dinner. I would like to find someone who creates their own destiny and doesn't sit idly by waiting for things to happen for them.
I'm not high or low maintenance. I'm kind of in the middle.....I like nice things---ie clothes, meals, wine etc, but my dream is to travel to Italy and stay for the summer in a little apartment in Florence, teaching English during the week and traveling all over Europe on the weekends...kind of just letting life take its course. So I think I'm a pretty balanced combination of grounded and adventurous.....I love traveling, exploring new neighborhoods, reading, walking, going to the park, movies (foreign and indie!) writing, music, going to the beach, cooking, hanging out with friends, museuming, going to great restaurants, ordering a nice bottle of red wine and hanging out, talking for hours even after the meal is done..
