I’m a motivated, thoughtful guy that prides himself on being a gentleman. I work hard and take great satisfaction in the career that I’ve built for myself. It’s important to me to be well rounded in all aspects of life though, not just my career. Being capable is really the cornerstone of my personal philosophy.
I think that to call yourself a man, you have to be able to do the things a man should know how to do. If you can’t swing a hammer or turn a wrench when you have to, then you’re using the term man pretty loosely. There’s nothing more satisfying than to get your hands dirty and take care of a project yourself.
I enjoy trying new things and get very engrossed when I’m learning them. I’ve taken up golf recently and can freely admit that I am a bit obsessed right now. But that’s my personality; I’m an unabashedly passionate person! If I find something interesting or important, I do all I can to learn as much about the subject as possible.
I really enjoy sports and outdoor activities. I played hockey, baseball, basketball, and other various sports growing up. I still play sports regularly and am always staying active whenever possible. I also enjoy hobbies that allow me to work with my hands. Woodworking in particular is a passion of mine that I would like to devote more time to in the future. I am kind of techie dork too (kind of my job as well), so it’s not uncommon for me to be messing around with a computer or some other kind of nerdy electronics project. Pretty cool huh?
I’m looking for a woman; a mature, strong, intelligent person that I can look to as my partner and equal. I want a woman that enjoys being domestic and doesn’t see it as an affront to the feminist movement. At the same time, I find it very attractive when a woman is good at her career and is passionate about what she does, so I’m not looking for Susie Homemaker either! A little balance goes a long way for me.
I suppose I could write out a bunch of other qualities I’d want from a partner, but it’s really not that complicated. All I really want is someone who is willing to try as hard as I will to not only be a good partner, but a good person. The rest will all build naturally from there.
