My smile is the feature that people typically notice first about me and is a window into my personality. Those closest to me would say I'm a warm, friendly individual who typically sees the cup as half full instead of half empty.
The most important people in my life are my three beautiful children, ages 13, 15, 16. I love them very much and consider them my greatest blessings in life. Anyone I would have a relationship with would need to like kids and make an effort to be a part of their lives as much as a part of mine. I am a package deal.
Having said all that, I also realize how important it is to nurture the relationship between a man and woman, children aside. I have learned the hard way that the foundation to a deep, lasting relationship is friendship. I'm not looking for someone to be my parent...I'm looking for a best friend. I want someone I can share my dreams with, someone to share the highs and lows with..someone who is there to cheer me on and lift me up but also lovingly keep me grounded when I need it.
I'm a well-educated, independent woman who doesn't "need" a man... but is looking for someone to "compliment" and share in my life and all it has to offer.
I am a sucker for romance and I'm looking for a man who can show a woman that he cares about her. Flowers are nice but can be overrated. You don't have to spend money to show someone you care about them...calling or texting during the day to say you're thinking of them...leaving a love note..texting a song that reminds you of that person...cooking dinner or planning a romantic date...things like these may take a little more thought and effort but to me that's what makes them special and really tells that person that you care. I also love spontaneity and surprises...they keep things interesting! :)
As much as I enjoy being on the receiving end of romance, I probably enjoy "giving" more than "receiving". I am an affectionate person and if you're the special person in my life you'll never have to question if I care about you. However....
If you're looking for a one night stand, please move on. Although I believe compatibility in that area is important, I'm not looking to be a notch on your bedpost.
I love being with people and helping people. I'm often the person who friends (and at times strangers) come to when they're troubled. I'm a good listener and have deep compassion for others. I enjoy doing volunteer work and before my divorce I was beginning a non- profit organization. I had to abandon that dream to work full time but hope to someday get back to fulfilling it in some capacity.
Socially, I love to experience new things, whether it's exploring a quaint little town on a spontaneous road trip or trying a new food. I love to travel and hope to visit all 50 states within my lifetime (I'm already off to a good start). I also want to visit Europe. The beach is my favorite place in the world and would love to someday live near the water.
I enjoy most genres of music and love to go out to hear live music but am just as happy slow dancing with that special someone on the living room floor.
I'm not a high maintenance kind of gal...I consider myself to be a very well-rounded individual. I'm as comfortable with torn jeans and a 4-wheeler as I am in high heels and a limo. I prefer the simpler things in life...quiet walks together..holding hands...cuddling up on the couch with a good movie..a yummy grilled steak and beer. But I also enjoy exploring new interest and expanding my knowledge...visiting museums...learning a new skill...visiting new places....reading a good book....
Bottom line..I'm a caring, intelligent, fun, multi-faceted woman who is looking for a best friend that I can laugh with, be passionate with, and ultimately share my life with...could that person be you? If you think so... drop me a line and a pic! Thanks!
