I'm like a good book. Not easily judged by the cover, unique, thought provoking and worth getting to know. Did I mention I love reading and poetry and words and dance and art and academia. What can I say, labels just don't work for me but if I have to sum it up I'll say I'm a little on the bohemian artistic side. For instance, I've had locs since college; so my mate has to appreciate natural hair. I love braiding my hair in a french braid for summer. But the artsy-ness isn't over the top. I'm also very goal-oriented and pretty self-disciplined. For instance, I just finished grad school. As far as relationships go, I like to wade in slowly at first, feel things out, but once I get to know you I open up.
Ideally, I'd like to find an honest, intelligent and caring man who is mutually interested in exploring the possibilities and slowly cultivating a meaningful lasting relationship. There's nothing wrong with being 'just friends', I really could use more of them, but eventually I'm hoping to find my one best friend. For me being best friends means there's more than just a physical chemistry (which is important), there's an ease and comfort in being with each other. That person stimulates my mind, body and spirit and I do the same for them. They are a kind soul who is committed to integrity in all things. Someone who knows how to have fun and still take care of business. Someone who enjoys the arts and can make me laugh would also be nice, but I'm also open to someone with other interests.
So if I've piqued your interest, let me know! And if I'm not her, then I sincerely wish you good luck in your search.
