ABOUT HIM & WHO HE'S LOOKING FOR

Well I was trying to come up with a few traits to describe myself and finally settled on intensely curious, dependable, dedicated, loyal, geeky and of course fairly tall.

It seems everyone on here likes to list their interests, which seems a little restrictive to me because who knows what I'll discover today, but here are a few random facts about me when it comes to those types of things. On a weekend you might find me at a good restaurant or pub/bar with close friends, a museum, a show or simply having a quiet night in watching a movie, tv show or reading a book or three. Outdoors I can be found in the mountains, on my bike or on the sound in a sailboat. Note that I am not as outdoorsy as my pics might imply, that's just when I tend to get pictures taken of me. I stay in decent shape through biking, hiking, playing basketball and a simple workout routine that works well for me. I'm a Sounders season ticket holder and you’ll of course find me at a few M’s, Huskies or Hawks games each year. I have pretty broad musical tastes however I particularly like DMB and certain movie scores. My sense of humor is pretty dry and fairly sarcastic.

So you got this far, now what am I looking for? A few big things I look for are: intelligence, maturity, respectfulness, dependability, assertiveness and the ability to not sweat those little curveballs of life. Someone who is at least somewhat physically active and takes care of themselves is also obviously important. I find people who mesh well with diverse personalities fit well with me since my friends range from a literal rocket scientist (think Sheldon Cooper but with social skills) to sales guys. What are the total deal breakers? Smoking (absolutely no exceptions), uncertainty about kids and a lack of respect for others who may not hold your views or have the same life goals.

Really though I'm looking for an equal and a partner that can complement my strengths, offset my weaknesses (we all have plenty of them), give me a little fashion advice cause I sure need it sometimes, and challenge me when I need it! Anything I didn't answer? Feel free to email me!

I trend towards dogs and there are a lot in my family. I'm looking forward to getting one at some point. I'm mildly allergic to cats but can easily get by if they are kept off the bed so I'm not having cat hair stuck in my face. :-)

For fun:

I'm equally happy out on a day hike, spending the day in a museum, out on the town, going shopping or staying at home relaxing. I'm not someone who goes out with huge groups, I find it most rewarding to spend time with good close friends.

Favorite hot spots:

Anywhere in downtown with good food and drink, Puget Sound, the mountains, our family cabin and my couch with a good book. I have travelled a bit and really enjoy London, I was in Beirut a few years back and it really impressed.

Favorite things:

My favorite food in the world is the Gnocchi at Tulio's in downtown. If I could live off of it without getting fat I might try it. I like ferryboat rides on a sunny day, history, travelling, whiskey, wine, cheese and nice dinners out with friends.

Last read:

I've moved into a pure management position after years of working on the technical side for major local company so I'm reading a lot of books for work. The last thing I read for fun was this months National Geographic.
