It's always a bit difficult to describe yourself since people likely see you in a much different light than you see yourself. That being said, I see myself as someone that's pretty easy to get along with, and much more demanding of myself than I am of people around me.
I'm told I don't look my age, but you see the pictures and there it is ... maybe yes, maybe no ... that's for you to decide.
I'm trustworthy to a fault I think ... which has backfired on me a couple of times, but I guess it's just part of my nature.
I see myself an intelligent person, and have come to that wonderful point in my life where I'm not afraid to say "I don't know" ... I ask directions if I'm lost because I think I'm "directionally disabled" at some level (love that nav app) ... and I like to think I have a good sense of humor ... laughing and joking around is going to be a key to a good relationship with me -- if you can't laugh easily and often, then we're going nowhere.
Trust in each other is a non-negotiable must-have - but then who doesn't want that? I mean really ...
I would like to find a lady that is intelligent, reasonably self-sufficient in her approach to life, pretty to herself and to me, and is not looking for a completely free ride to the easy life. By that I simply mean that at our age we should both be able to bring something to the party. I retired a year or so ago, so I have to watch things a little more closely than in the past -- I'm well set financially, but I also don't see us jetting off to Paris for lunch, then on to the Alps for some skiing, saving Monaco for Sunday evening. Sorry about that, but there's a ton of fun things to do and see in south (and north) California, so it's not like there's nothing to do around here. I do, however, enjoy traveling when the mood is right -- I've been to practically every major city in the USA multiple times, England, several cities in Japan a few times, all the well-known Mexican resorts and a cruise or two. Of course to me, planning a trip is a good share of the fun, especially when it's a trip over water where English is not the first language (when they don't understand English just continue to speak English really loud and slow so they hate you even more) ... and there's enough to do that type of thing a couple few times a year. Like Italy, and so on ... lots to choose from ... but I'm ok at home too.
I have three kids, two daughters and a son -- and four grandkids. I was very instrumental in raising my kids due to circumstances, and I hope I have been a good father, at least they all seem to still love their old man. Probably because I was taught to cook well enough to get a decent meal on the table (thanks Mom) for dinner and make lunches for school that they didn't trade away for something with a Twinkie in it. Good kids.
Well let's see what else there is .... hmm, no parking tickets or prison time, so that's a plus I would suppose. I also think men that don't adore women are missing out on something very special. And I guess that's about it ... as they say -- thanks for calling in, and I hope there's a prize in there for you along the way.
Oh, and one last thing ... I'm looking for one, and only one, lady to build a relationship with ... hopefully a wonderful, fun relationship where we both look forward to seeing each other at the beginning, during and the end of each day ...
