I picked the Mark Twain quote mainly because of his awesome command of words. How I wish I had that ability right now! As we've all found, it's hard to condense interests, experiences, and a life philosophy down to a few paragraphs while simultaneously preventing our reader from having a narcoleptic fit! I can, however, assure you that what you see on my profile will be genuine. I will try my hardest not to make myself out to be any more fun, funny, or interesting than I actually am :-)
About me: I love to explore the many aspects of life, whether familiar, exotic, mysterious, or hilarious. I love travel because it puts my life in perspective and makes me feel alive. I value higher education and consider myself a life-long seeker of knowledge and experience. I like to believe I can acknowledge life's absurdities, yet still maintain a sense of awe and amazement in small wonders, like leaf-cutter ants, baby elephants, and orchids. I've had some great long-term relationships, and would like to be in one again, but will never stay with someone just to avoid being alone. Of course I want to be adored, but do not need to be pampered.
About you: My ideal match is smart, honest, politically liberal, witty, spontaneous, conscientious, and able to laugh at himself. About match.com: It's weird to contemplate that over 7 billion people live on this planet, and wonder what the odds might be of finding a soul-mate here on line. I've tried match once before, then about a week after joining, met someone in an unrelated setting. I thought I cancelled my subscription then, but it wasn't until a year later when I noticed my credit card bill that I realized my profile had been active the whole time.
