I've been living in San Francisco for about 5 years now, and definitely consider myself a local. I was born and raised in the Bay Area (Los Altos, for those interested in my peninsula roots). with a stint in San Diego for a little college education and that one summer I spent in Denver. When I'm not hard at work, being a responsible grown up, some of my favorite things to do are cooking, wine tasting, painting, hiking, playing tennis, dancing like there's no tomorrow, exploring new parts of the city and for lack of better terms, just out doing stuff.
In college, I was lucky enough to study abroad in Milan Italy and that's where I learned to love travel and seeing the world. Another bonus: I also learned how to cook from a true Italian chef. It's so fun to whip up delicious new dishes, always accompanied by good wine and a tasting committee and even if you are lucky, an Italian lesson! Va bene. When I'm not in the kitchen, I am outside, pending that pesky fog, playing a game of tennis, running, skiing or any other outdoor activity that you can throw at me (bocce anyone?), or just being a lazy bum and sitting out in Dolores or Fort Mason watching the always entertaining crowds.
Now here's the thing about growing up in the Bay Area... everyone sticks around, which is why I have a ton of family in the area, sister, aunts, uncles, cousins and grandparents. We are all really close and tend to make time to clown around with each other regularly. It also makes for fun weekend adventures outside the city and some great summer tanlines when the fog gets us down!
So what brings me to the world of Match? I'm hoping to meet a down-to-earth guy, someone who isn't afraid to be spontaneous and is up for anything, whether it is a new restaurant, a great hike but also who enjoys a chill night on the couch and cooking a gourmet meal together. You also should have some killer jokes up your sleeve, I'm a sucker for a good laugh.
